SimOLED OPTIC

Based on thin film optics and the dipole emission model, SimOLED OPTIC calculates the optical characteristics of your OLED. The calculation features include:

  • spectral angular passive optics like transmission and reflection of arbitrary thin film stacks
  • spectral angular active (emissive) optics like radiance, luminance
  • integrated quantities like luminous flux
  • color coordinates
  • polarization dependence
  • coherent thin film optics
  • treatment of thick (incoherent) substrate
  • user-defined dipole distribution
  • bottom and top emission configuration
  • multiple emitters

The following general quantities can be graphically visualized by SimOLED:

  • spectral angular: simulated quantities vs. wavelength and angle
  • angular: simulated quantities vs. angle (integration over wavelength)
  • total: simulated quantities vs. user-defined parameter variations (integration over wavelength and angle)
